“It’s not going to be a busy 100 days. It’s going to be a busy 200 days,” Pence told Fox News host Sean Hannity. “What you have in our president-elect … he is absolutely determined to move that agenda forward and move it forward quickly.”
The Trump administration plans to start its first few months by having GOP majorities in Congress repeal and replace Obamacare, while the White House will focus on deporting criminal illegal aliens, enhancing border security, and nominating a Supreme Court justice. Pence also said by Spring, Trump will cut taxes “across the board for families, small businesses” and trim back “excessive regulations.”
Trump plans to leave the Beltway more than presidents typically do, the outgoing Indiana governor also said.
“You’re going to see it this week when the president-elect and I hit the road is a president Donald Trump is not going to just be talking to Congress. He’s going to be talking to the American people. He’s going to be taking his case consistently to the American people and encouraging them,” Pence said, referencing Ronald Reagan’s style.
Trump is commencing his “thank you” tour this week in Cincinnati, as a chance to visit with and thank those who supported him in southern Ohio, as well as reaffirm his commitment to all Americans, regardless of party affiliation.
