During a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday, he admitted he came under fire for claiming the country was in crisis as a result of its liberal refugee policy.

“A day later I said has anybody reported what’s going on? And it turned out that they didn’t, not too many of them – take a lot what happened in Sweden.”
He continued: “I love Sweden, great country, great people, the people over there understand I’m right.”
The original remarks came during a press conference in Florida last weekend when he said a terror attack had occurred in Sweden last Friday.
Mr Trump later clarified he was referencing a Fox News immigration segment, which alleged there had been a surge in violence in the country.
On Monday Swedish police were forced to fire at a mob of rioters in a mainly immigrant suburb of Stockholm.
The unrest, in the Rinkeby district, saw thugs throw rocks at officers and torch cars in an unruly rampage.
It follows a report by Sweden’s National Criminal Investigation which showed a huge surge in crime since the start of the migrant crisis.
Some 52 areas in the country have been put on to a “black list”, with extra officers being enlisted as Sweden struggles to cope with the levels of crime.
During his speech at CPAC on Friday, the Republican also reiterated his plan to get the “bad dudes” out of the states.
He added his vision for a wall along the US-Mexico border were “way ahead” as he was met with cheers from the baying audience.
He said: “We are building the wall, its going to start soon – way ahead of schedule. Way way way ahead of schedule, very soon.”
