Not even three months into his first year in the White House, President Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign is getting good news that will have liberals everywhere troubled.

According to quarterly Federal Election Commission documents filed Friday, Trump’s three campaign committees — Donald J. Trump for President, Trump Victory and Trump Make America Great Again Committee — raised a record $13.2 million in the first three months of 2017, according to the New York Post.
The committees also finished March with nearly $16 million in the bank.
Nearly 80 percent of the funds raised came from small donors, Politico reported. In fact, some $4.7 million of the money came from Trump’s “Make America Great Again” memorabilia, which included hats, T-shirts, mugs and stickers. The campaign reportedly spent at least $2.7 million on telemarketing and other fundraising activities.
According to the documents, Trump’s re-election campaign slogan is “Keep America Great.”
Because of ongoing fundraising this year, Trump was able to reach the required $5,000 needed to file an official statement of candidacy for the next election, The Washington Post reported. However, the filing did not constitute a formal announcement of Trump’s candidacy for the 2020 election.
The New York Post also reported that the Republican National Committee had raised $42.6 million, but as of Sunday it had yet to file its final FEC report of the quarter.
This is good news for Team Trump, considering 2017 isn’t even half over. If funds continue to increase at this pace, there’s no telling how much money Trump will raise by the next election cycle.
Trump for president in 2020 must be a thought that triggers liberals everywhere, as they are still trying to figure out how in the world Trump managed to win the White House over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
