The New York Times published on Monday.
The article, on the revised Trump travel ban, stated the following at the end.
From Young Conservatives
The story was written by Glenn Thrush, the White House correspondent for the Times. He was famously pointed out in the DNC emails referring to himself as a “hack” and communicating with the Democrats for approval on a story.
We pointed out how their story was just demonstrably false.
Muslim extremists were only responsible for 16 out of 240,000 murders since 9/11 in 2001?
Really? Orlando, just the one Muslim extremist terrorist attack, had 49 people killed and 53 wounded. Not to mention the numbers killed in San Bernardino (14), Chattanooga (4), Boston (4 including police officer after the bombing) and a slew of smaller lesser known attacks.
Yes, there were attacks by Muslim extremists from the countries under the temporary ban.
Apparently, Thrush has already forgotten about the attack in November by a Somali refugee in Ohio who ran his car into a crowd and then jumped out with a knife? On social media, he tied his attack to anger at America for actions in Muslim countries. How about the Somali refugee who in September yelled “Allahu Akbar” and knifed nine people in a Minnesota mall?
Not to mention hundreds of planned attacks which were uncovered and stopped by arrests, as well as people arrested for planning to join Islamic groups like ISIS.
After our story was published, we discovered from our readers that the Times article had been ‘stealth edited’ and the passage quoted above excised. It would be customary in the case of such an edit to note the offending part and how it changed. However they did not do so.
Here’s a link to an original version of the story including the false information in the last two paragraphs and a link to the changed story with it edited out without notice.
But the article achieved its purpose of spreading the false information, minimizing the number of murders.
