One of the things Donald Trump wants you to know he appreciates is good food.
From joining startled diners at the BLT STEAKHOUSE to the pictures of him eating McDonald’s during the campaign, as well as the famous tweet of him wishing his followers “Happy #CincoDeMayo!” with a picture of him eating a taco bowl, the guy obviously likes to eat not necessarily the healthiest foods and isn’t shy about it.

So few people would be surprised if Michelle Obama’s push to force kids to eat more broccoli and less burgers is not popular in his administration.
As reported in Hot Air via CNN:
One of Michelle Obama’s signature accomplishments as first lady may be in jeopardy under the Trump administration.
A key lobbying group, the School Nutrition Association, released recommendations earlier this month to scale back federal nutrition standards she championed and were set under the Obama administration. The group is a national nonprofit professional organization representing over 57,000 members in the school food service industry, per its website.
From Washington Free Beacon:
Rep. Mark Meadows (R., N.C.) is taking steps to repeal the Health Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, but many are hoping that Trump will unilaterally remove the regulations even before a repeal is done.
“It’s the perfect example of how government interference generally makes a small problem far worse,” Meadows said of the regulations.
The School Nutrition Association, a lobby group said to represent over 57,000 members in the school food service industry, has called for “saltier foods,” and less stringent “whole grain requirements” that lead to students being served “healthier” lunches so unappealing that it would make send even Dr. Oz on a road trip to Wendy’s.
So it could be nah to quinoa, farewell to kale, and adios to … whatever the heck that is that just got dumped on your kid’s lunch tray.
