In a week or so, we’ll find out where exactly the Democrat Party intends to take itself. As of late, it has appeared Democrats intend to enthusiastically continue their downward trajectory into regressive, hard-left obsolescence.

Our own Col. West wrote here about the historical parallels between the Democrat Party and Hannibal (not Lecter; the ancient military leader) who famously failed to adjust to a changing battlefield, lost painfully, and ended his career by suicide.
We often complain that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it, but in this case, we sort of don’t mind if the Democrats do.
The elections for chair of the Party will be held next weekend, and one candidate has pulled himself out of the running, throwing his support to ultra-lefty, practicing Muslim, Rep. Keith Ellison.
The Hill reports, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley plans to end his bid to lead the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and endorse Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) for chairman.
Though Buckley was not among the front-runners in the race, his endorsement could help tip the battle between Ellison and former Labor Secretary Tom Perez, who are widely viewed as the two top contenders to head the DNC.
DNC members will vote next weekend on their new chairman.
As I’ve talked to the DNC membership, it’s clear Keith has widespread support, and I know as our next DNC Chair Keith will successfully unite and grow our party.”
Ellison will give Buckley a key role in DNC operations if he wins.
“When we have a successful outcome in Atlanta next week, I have asked him to lead our effort to provide the support and resources the state parties need in a new and innovative 57 state strategy,” Ellison said in a statement.
Um..wait a minute. Fifty-seven state strategy? Seriously, all the news stories on this statement say 57 states. Surely it’s a typo…
